Brett Favre ‘s email to ESPN’s Ed Werder:
“[Packers QB] Aaron [Rodgers] is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe,” Favre said in the e-mail. “But [defensive coordinator] Dom [Capers] and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage.”
In an e-mail response to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Favre said Monday that the Packers are “by far” the best team left in the NFL playoffs.

Nice to know Brett can acknowledge the talent on the Packers team. Of course, I agree, the Packers can win it all!
It doesn’t matter how you spin it…the Green Bay Packers have proven over and over that they are a force to be reckoned with.
Winning the Wild Card game over the Eagles today was a shining example of a team that has become balanced and in sync.
We’ve depended on Rodgers to pull the team to victory on many occasions. We’ve played games where the win was on the defense’s broad shoulders… We’ve even needed a little luck to put W in the Win/Lose column.
But today, the Packers showed the world that they are truly a TEAM.

This year’s Green Bay playoff captains are:
- Offense — QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Greg Jennings
- Defense — CB Charles Woodson and LB A.J. Hawk
- Special teams — CB Jarrett Bush and K Mason Crosby
